Brockville City Emergency Control Group has issued a Cautionary Notice:
- Parkedale Ave around California is currently blocked with numerous downed power lines and poles. Citizens are urged to avoid this area. Most stores in the affected region have been evacuated and shut down.
- Hydro One estimates that 150-160,000 homes are without power in the region.
- Please exercise extra caution: Tree limbs that haven’t already been knocked down may have been weakened by strong winds. Keep your eyes and ears open, and proceed with caution.
- Keep an eye on the weather forecast.
