Great Strides Walk for Cystic Fibrosis at 10:00am Sunday May 27th, 2012 at Memorial Park, Brockville.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is the most common, fatal genetic disease affecting Canadian children and young adults and the number one cause of death for Canadians under 25 & there is no cure for cystic fibrosis.
CF is a multi-organ disease, primarily affecting the lungs and digestive system.

Lace up for the 6km, 10km 2012 MS Walk and help change lives for the better –Your participation will help fund innovative programs and services

Early Check-in Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and support groundbreaking research dedicated to finding a cure.

The 7th Annual Chip In For Youth Golf Tournament

Friday June 1st at 1pm the Garrison Golf and Curling Club. All proceeds from this tournament go directly to programming at the Kingston Military Family Resource Centre.
Cost is $75.00 which includes dinner green fees, and prizes.

BFO Kingston’s biggest and most fun fundraiser is happening on Friday, June 1 at Rideau Acres Campground (1014 Cunningham Road). Doors open at 6:30, followed by a delicious BBQ dinner. DJ Derrick Hole will entertain with dancing music to bring out your inner Johnny T or Julianne Hough!

WHEEL’S A CHURNIN at the Augusta Motorsports Park

Experience the fun, the thrills, the excitement of Wheels a Churning. June 2nd and 3rd at the Augusta Motor Sport Park
Drags start at 11:am and this is the first event of the season, camping and a canteen on site!!!

Welcoming the whole community the day will include Little Ray’s Reptile Show, Masonic Chip Child Identification Program, Games, 50/50 draw, bake sale, plant sale, raffle tables as well as a BBQ. The Spring Fun Day is Linklater School’s major fund-raiser. The success of this event is vital to ensuring that we can provide our students with resources and experiences that greatly enrich the curriculum and student life.

Let The Fabulous Bel-Airs take you on a nostalgic trip back to a 50’s Gymnasium Sock Hop. So wake up Little Susie, jump in your Little Deuce Coupe, and Rock Around the Clock… this is one experience you don’t want to miss!

The theme is a 1950′s Sock Hop. So grease back your hair and put on some dark shades; pull out those pink scarves; and be prepared to be taken back to the past.

Girls Inc. Announces Fifth Annual Golf Tournament

LEEDS AND GRENVILLE – The fifth annual Girls Incorporated Golf Tournament is scheduled for Friday, July 13th at the Prescott Golf Club. The tournament follows a scramble format, opening rain or shine with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. and wrapping up with dinner in the evening.

The registration fee is $80 ($50 for members of the Prescott Golf Club). Each golfer will have a chance to win some great prizes. All golfers are welcome. Last year’s tournament drew 115 golfers, and organizers hope to see a full tournament of 144 golfers turn out this year. Participants can register as an individual, a pair or a foursome. This event is an important fundraiser for Girls Incorporated of Upper Canada. All proceeds stay in Leeds & Grenville, supporting local Girls Inc. programs.
